2. Overview

This website is a purely informational web presence for the MacroFlow app. We process as little personal data as possible. We use no tracking, no advertising networks and no analytics tools.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) using the Cloudflare Pages service. When you access the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, the file requested and the amount of data transferred) in order to deliver the page and secure the infrastructure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and efficient provision). A data-processing agreement is in place with Cloudflare. As Cloudflare may also process data in the USA, any such transfer is based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Server log files

As described above, access data is automatically recorded in server log files when the site is accessed. This data is not merged with other data sources and is used solely for technical operation and security. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no tracking or marketing cookies. To store your preferences (chosen colour scheme and language) we use only your browser's local storage, under the keys “mf-theme” and “mf-lang”. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us and is technically necessary to provide the settings you selected (Section 25 (2) TDDDG). You can delete this data at any time via your browser settings.

6. External links and services

This website contains links to external services, in particular to GitHub (GitHub, Inc.) for source code, releases, issues and discussions. If you follow these links, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies; we have no influence over their data processing. The OpenFoodFacts food database used by the app is queried from within the app, not from this website.

7. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. email address, name, message content) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or for pre-contractual requests Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. We retain this data only for as long as necessary to process your request.

8. Accounts and synchronisation

This website currently offers no registration or user accounts. The MacroFlow app is local-first and stores your data primarily on your device. Should an optional account and synchronisation feature be offered in future, this privacy policy will be expanded accordingly beforehand.

9. Your rights

Within the limits of the law you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and a right to object (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, please use the contact address above.
